EXTRACTOR / MANDREL PREP OPERATOR | $14/HR | Night Shift
SAVARD Personnel Group is hiring Extractor/Mandrel Prep Operators for a pipe manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This position involves removing cured pipes from mandrels, operating production equipment, and preparing mandrels for the next production cycle.
Job Responsibilities
Safely load and unload pipes to and from the oven using hoist cranes.
Follow the production cycle to ensure pipes pass through the required oven zones.
Secure mandrel components using pins, adapters, and locks.
Move cured pipes from the oven to the extractor rack.
Operate a cutting saw to release sleeves from mandrels.
Move mandrels to the extraction unit and remove finished pipes.
Prepare mandrels for the next production cycle by installing sleeves and applying masking tape, heat-resistant tape, and release agents as needed.
Inspect and clean sleeves to ensure they are in good condition.
Move prepared mandrels to the winding station.
Monitor product quality and record daily production activity.
Report machine, tool, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Keep the work area and tools clean.
Follow all safety procedures and production standards.
Qualifications
Basic education or equivalent as accepted by management.
Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with production equipment or material handling is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and availability to work overnight.
Schedule: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
